Both 11aside boys' teams on their travels and both sides produced encouraging performances.
The U14s made the journey to Bankfoot for a league encounter against Luncarty 2011s. An impressive performance saw a 4-2 win. Good link-up play meant the visitors posed a constant threat going forward. Coaches Joe, Richard & Andy content with the progress this team is making.
A long journey to St Andrews for the U15s to face the league leaders as the tough run of fixtures continued. Coaches were looking for a response from the boys after a very lightweight performance against Broughty Utd at home where they were well beaten, albeit with lots of players under the weather.
Conceding right from kick-off was certainly not the start they needed. Trailing 3-0 at half-time did not tell the full story though since the boys had battled well and created plenty chances of their own. A good finish after great chasing by Logan SD looked as if they had pulled it back to 3-2 early in the second half but the goal was correctly chalked off for a needless foul in the build-up. St Andrews Colts 2009s replied with a couple of ruthless finishes to run out 5-1 winners. Plenty positives to take from this performance though ahead of this weekend's visit to Montrose in the league.
