PKYFA U12 9V9 League
Blairgowrie 2013 vs BSYFC 2013
Breadalbane worked hard to press their opponents, who were technically strong, straight from the start.
Oliver was great in goals and kept busy with shots and corners backed up by some goal line clearances from Nestor and Kacper. Alfie and Marco got grip of midfield while the team looked sharp in attack. PoTW is Max who netted another hatrick today⚽️⚽️⚽️
PKYFA U13 League
BSYFC 2012 0v9 Fair City
With players unavailable, an already small squad was reduced to 11 players after an early injury. Fantastic dedication by those who were playing their second match of the weekend.
The application could not be faulted. Players kept their heads-up despite the score and Breadalbane enjoyed decent passages of play, created chances of their own.
PoTMwas Brooklyn. A real committed performance. He applied lessons learned from last week, and stuck to his position
A lot of strong teams in this league. Our 2010s and U14 Girls were in similar positions - having to make up ground on opposition teams before turning things round. The 2012s will manage the same on the showing of this attitude and team spirit.
DDYFA U15 League
BSYFC 2010 4v3 Arbroath Harp
A gutsy performance by Breadalbane up at the 3G. With a new 3-4-3 formation, Breadalbane raced into a 2-0 lead within 15 minutes after a well taken brace from Ceiran.
Arbroath battled back and edged in front midway through the second half, in an almost identical fashion to when the teams met for the opening match of the season.
Breadalbane side have matured since then and simply were not for giving up as they heaped on the pressure. Arbroath remained a threat and Joel had to pull off a couple of outstanding saves at the other end.
A surging run and cross from John was curled into the top corner by Thomas for the equaliser 3-3.
Finn arrived at the back post to calmly meet a free kick and place it into the bottom left corner for the winner.
Lots of candidates for PoTM but just edging the prize was John for his dynamism and drive and never relenting. He came on at half time and let no man past him and created the equaliser. Well done everyone!!
