BSYFC 2010 4 v 0 Maryfield Utd 2010 Blacks
DDYFA U15 League
After the Amateurs convincing 5-0 defeat of Kettins on Saturday, the U15s ensured that fortress Home St remained unbreached over the weekend with a stunning performance and 4-0 win against Maryfield United to make it 3 wins in 3 games.
Breadalbane started on the front foot with the Thomas and Finn making runs in behind. Robert creating chance after chance, dancing between the defenders and winning free kicks for opportunities but the boys just couldn’t find the finishing touch.
In the first half Breadalbane were in control and not allowing Maryfield any chances although would go into half-time scoreless. A few half-time changes which would normally take 10-15 minutes to click but not today. Only 3 minutes into the second half and substitute David stepped up and smashed a low ball into bottom right corner ⚽. 1-0 Breadalbane.
The boys weren’t for stopping as Finn curled a ball in from a corner which the keeper spilled allowing Ceiran to redirect the ball which struck a defenders hand and the ref blew for a penalty. Jaiden stepped up and hit it hard and low to the keeper's right for his first goal in Breadalbane colours ⚽. 2-0
The boys knew this game was theirs so calmed down and took more time during attacks. It didn’t stop them from going close with Robert dancing through defenders and just firing his shot wide.
Finn had a number of chances without troubling the keeper until a high press from a goal kick from Finn put the defender off who passed the ball straight to Rhys who took a touch out his feet and sent a rocket into top left corner leaving the goal keeper with no chance for 3-0. ⚽
The boys were in high spirits now. Substitute Isaac came on in the later stages of the game and with one of his first touches a clearance form a corner fell to him. He took a shot on the turn and curled it into top right corner ⚽.
FT 4-0
Player of the Match today was Robert who was causing havoc all over the pitch, creating lots of chances and unlucky not to score himself. A special mention for the defence today who were outstanding all game long not letting anything through them with Joel clearing up long balls. All round a very strong performance from the boys.

Dundee West 2009 4-0 BSYFC 2009
DDYFA U16 League
Away to West Reds for the 2009s on Sunday for a game that would sum up their season.
Struggling for a squad and with the back-up help all unavailable, we were very grateful to Fin for stepping up and ensuring we had a starting eleven.
An evenly matched first half, which saw both sides playing some very good football on the perfect, newly laid astro.
Breadalbane worked the ball well from the back and saw some great passages of play through midfield, which resulted in good opportunities being created, but again they failed to find the all important break through.
The home side would take the lead with the last kick of the half which handed them the momentum and changed the mood going in at the break.
The team failed to hit the heights of the first half after the break, despite creating some good opportunities and being denied by the post! Caleb also had the ball in the net only for it to be dissallowed for offside. An inability to retain possession further up the park meant the visitors were under unable to relieve the pressure. As the game reached final stages, the 11 players tired and the home side ran out 4-0 winners.
Strong performances in the middle of the park from Jayden and Liam. Paddy tried to hold the ball up well. James pulled off some fantastic saves to keep us in the game with Ivan also looking solid at centre half.
It was Struan that picked up the MOTM award with a very good defensive display. He was aggressive, winning everything he went for and used the ball well in possession.
U16s now have a free week before two home fixtures which will mean an early end to their second season in Dundee in what is a high standard league.
