SMALL SIDED TEAMS SUN 8th DEC
BSYFC 2015 v Fair City 2015 (U9s)
The final match of the season for the U9s on the 3G at Breadalbane Community Campus and they certainly did not disappoint!! The home side made a great start with accurate passing, good communication and everyone keeping their positions. A fantastic game to watch for both sets of spectators with lots of goals. Fair City Junior FC played an amazing game as well ⚽.
Player of the Week was given to Arthur for his all round performance, effort at training and positive attitude. A special mention to Finlay today for his goal keeping with some great saves l. The whole team played their socks off.
Coaches Tyler, Ally & Jane have certainly had their work cut out with this talented, large group but they are really starting to come together as a team now rather than playing as individuals. Great to see them growing in confidence each week and the team have had a brilliant season. Well done Players, Parents & Coaches !!
Letham 2013 v BSYFC 2013 (U11s)
A tough assignment away at Seven Acres against a well organised team from Letham Community Sports Club - Letham FC . The Breadalbane defence were under a lot of pressure for most of the game and did really well to keep Letham out for as long as they did, almost making it to half time without conceding. Unfortunately Letham started the second half well and scored 3 in quick succession. The Breadalbane players refused to let their heads go down and did not give up. Thanks to Ethan, Wilf and Kacper for taking turns in goals Player of the Week went to Matthew for solid defending throughout.
It has been a really encouraging transition season at 9 aside with some cracking performances and lots of goals ⚽⚽. Coaches Matthijs & Andy put a huge amount of effort into this group with great backing from the Parents. No coincidence that the Dutch influence is reflected in a team which is strong technically and strives to play quick, attacking football which is great to watch. Well done everyone!!
FUTSAL Coaching in Perth
On Thursday our 2013 and 2014s made the trip down to Perth for a Futsal session with Mark Potter from PKYFA. Another fantastic opportunity for more of our Players and Coaches to work with Mark who is technical director of Futsal Scotland, and has pioneered the sport in this country for over 25 years. The Club plan to run lots more Futsal sessions at weekends during the small sided league shutdown over the winter months.
