SMALL SIDED TEAMS - SUN 1st DEC

Fun4s - PKYFA 4 aside festival

It was the last festival of the year and two teams who made the trip to Perth didn't disappoint. Alexandru, Bailey, Charlie, Cooper, Jack, JJ, Leona, & Ruben were all in fantastic form.

It's been fantastic to send so many teams down this year and watch the progress of the players. This is all thanks to the hardwork of Coaches Annette, Sean and Johnny each week.

Super5s - PKYFA 5 aside festival

This Sunday was the boys final games in the 5 aside format and they really made the most of it. Both our teams were involved in competitive games and showed some great link up play, neat passing & ball control. Some cracking goals especially Finlay with his half way screamer. The boys were also switched on defensively and their man marking was excellent, when needed.

Players of the Week were Lucas for his ball control & team work and Max for his all round play. Overall a brilliant Sunday to finish the season off. This group are now in an excellent position to make the progression to 7 aside football in March with the support of an great group of dedicated Coaches - A huge thank you to Squeak, Andy, Shane & Julie for everything you do.

BSYFC 2015 v Blairgowrie 2015 (U9s)

Great turnout today at Breadalbane Community Campus for the 2015s who made a strong start with great passes and clinical finishing. They lost a bit of momentum in the beginning of the second half before finishing strongly again but full credit to Blairgowrie & Rattray Community Football Club for a spirited fightback. A real entertaining match of football for both sets of supporters. Well done Ryan on his Player of the Week award for his hard work on pitch and at training.

BSYFC 2014 v Scone Thistle Whites 2014 (U10s)

Breadalbane entertained Scone Thistle Community Club in what will be their last game of the season with Letham unable to play the final fixture scheduled for next week.

The team were asked to work really hard today and get up and down the park to support attacks and also get back behind the ball to defend when out of possession. The game started a really even contest but the team conceded some goals due to switching off at vital moments or not working hard enough to back track to help the defence. However once the lads increased their work rate, they started getting chances and Lewis nipped in with a goal. Ethan out wide was causing the opposition all sorts of problems when he ran into space and delivered a few crosses which the team were unlucky not to score from.

The half-time team talk was based around needing a higher intensity of work rate. The players responded and ran out and pressed Scone well with Lewis and Ethan grabbing goals ⚽⚽. With the match in the balance, a couple of lapses in a two minute spell allowed Scone back into the game and gave them a lift. Breadalbane replied with Jacob playing a lovely through ball for Ethan to nip in and score a lovely goal. Kubby in defence had some driving runs and good tackles and blocks, Luke had his best game since joining the club and played some lovely passes and won tackles, Jamie in goals was solid and talked to his teammates, making some great saves. Lachlan, Ethan and Jacob worked hard in midfield. Alfie made some great runs and his work rate was top class. Lewis and Liam got moved a lot into various positions with Lewis scoring two well taken goals and Liam being in the thick of the action with tough tackling and nice passes. No Max today or Jack and both were missed. The Player of the Week was picked by Tracey which went to Kubby for his effort in driving his team forward, tackling and crucial blocks.

Coaches Simmy and Kempy know there a lots of positives to take from this season. They group have been on a real rollercoaster of a journey. Despite losing a handful of players throughout the season, they bounced back and showed their resilience earning promotion to a new league, where they have competed well in every match . A massive thank you to Coaches Simmy & Kempy for all their hard work and the parents for their continued support.

Luncarty 2013 v BSYFC 2013 (U11s)

A heavy pitch at Luncarty and a healthy turnout. First half the team started slowly and were ball watching, but after conceding the only goal of the match, they started to get into shape more. As the match progressed, the team play became more visible and were creating plenty chances to score, but couldn't find the net. Max and Marco pressed well up front. Communication improved a lot in the second half with some fantastic passes from Ellie, Nathan and Kacper. Defence were resolute today with Matthew, Paul and Nestor giving lots of effort covering on a heavy park. Some great saves from Oliver as well. With 5 minutes to go in the 2nd half all of a sudden the team started flying. Ethan was unlucky to see his shot in the last minute hit the post.  Congratulations to Luncarty on their first win of the season so far, with a great performance from their goalie as well.

Thanks to all The Parents for their their support and Luncarty for hosting us today. One more match next week in Perth against Letham before the winter break. All players were champions today but Player of the Week is Kacper, performing well at some vital moments made him stand out. Well done Kappy⚽️⚽️
