GIRLS PATHWAY - SAT 2nd NOV
All three Girls teams on their travels on Saturday and the small matter of cheering the Women's Scotland National Team on to a 4-0 victory over Hungary at Easter Road on Tuesday. This guarantees them a playoff place for the UEFA Euro Finals. Thanks to Coaches Poodle & Jonathan for taking the Girls down to Edinburgh.
Scone Thistle U10 v BSYFC U10
The team performed well in a physical encounter against a strong Scone Thistle Girls Football Club side. It was their first game stepping up to the tier 1 level and the girls really enjoyed themselves. Well done to Aurora for taking her opportunity and slotting home an impressive first time strike to earn her Player of the Week.
Blairgowrie U10 v BSYFC U10
A tough morning on a gloomy day at Davie Park, Blairgowrie & Rattray Community Football Club. Without the luxury of subs, it was always going to be a challenge against a large home squad. Eliza took position between the sticks for the first half where her supreme efforts stopped a number of goals. Eilish took her favourite position at right back, with Kamilla to her left, they both got stuck in. Emelia and Olive charged up and down both wings making effective use of the counterattack. Daphne and Evie made up the spine of the team, both covering ground and making chances. Second half saw Evie with a wonderful performance in goal, and Eliza grabbing a goal for the teams efforts. A memorable performance, never giving up or taking their foot off the gas. Player of the Match goes to Daphne for her hard work, positive spirit, and making things happen for the team in the middle.
Inverkeithing HS All Blacks U14s 9-9 BSYFC U14s
Goals galore in the kingdom of Fife with a high scoring thriller with The Swifts FC - Girls. A hatrick from Bella ⚽⚽⚽ with Emeri, Holly and Emma bagging a couple ⚽⚽ meant a 9 goal haul. Everyone showed great attitude and determination with both teams playing very good football.
Mel won Player of the Week for a typical fearless performance full of energy. The Girls hardwork at training is paying off with some lovely passing, movement and finishing. Well done everyone and a big thanks to assistant coaches Jamie Callaghan and Sandie Morrison.
