SMALL SIDED TEAMS - SUN 27 Oct

PKYFA Fun4s

Lots of goals ⚽⚽ and lots of exciting matches at Bertha Park, Perth for the team with Coach Scott. Iustin had his shooting boots on with a couple of unstoppable strikes. Ruben and Maxwell were full of running with the ball and also when having to defend without it. Great dribbling as always from Josip while Alexandru linked up the play with his accurate passing.

Coach Annette's team of Leona, Cooper, Jack, Harry & Arthur stepped up a level and all did well. They showed a great attitude, worked hard, passed the ball neatly, and scored some cracking goals ⚽.

PKYFA Super 5s

Team moved into the Messi group and did brilliantly. They played as a team, and defended well. Player of the Week went to Ivan for his all round display.  Disappointing to see Coach Squeak pick up a bad injury for what can only be described as a reckless challenge by Cameron, much to everyone's amusement. Thankfully the injury (a sore toe) is not as bad as first thought..

Blairgowrie Whites 2015 v  BSYFC 2015 (U9s)

A great game from the boys who kept their shape, especially when attacking. They listened well to the Coaches and are really starting to gel as a team. Such was the standard of performance, that all of the team could've been awarded the Player of the Week but it went to Stewart for his workrate. Brilliant job boys!!

Blairgowrie 2014 v BSYFC 2014

Any worries about playing in a new league for the 2014s were quickly forgotten with an excellent pergormance against Blairgowrie & Rattray Community Football Club at Piggy Lane. The extra weekly combined training sessions with the 2013s appears to be paying dividends.

Jamie in goals communicated well with his team and commanded his box. Defenders Cubby and Lachlan along with Luke denied the opposition space and all looked comfortable on the ball. Jakob, Lewis and Ethan worked so hard in midfield with Ethan and Jakob supporting and combining well with Max up front throughout the whole game. Ethan and Lewis got on the scoresheet. Max up top took his four goals well and put in a great shift when asked to go into midfield. A last minute call-up for "mini-Messi" Bailey saw him come on up front and he played excellently, holding the ball up and getting in on the goals. The only dampener, much to the delight of Coach Kempy is that Coach Simmy pulled his calf during the warm up.

A performance that Coaches, Parents & Players can be very proud of. The journey the players have been on, has helped them become more resilient and stronger as a team.

Player of the Week went to Jakob T for his work ethic and skills on show. Ethan also had an outstanding game with numerous assists and a willingness to keep working up and down the park.

BSYFC 2013 vs Crieff Juniors 2013

Road blockages meant only 8 players available but the 2013 side were still happy to take up the challenge of playing against against Crieff.

Coach Matthijs hoped to see some of the work the team as done on scanning and receiving being used in the match. There was solid defence work from Matthew Nestor and Paul. In midfield Nathan combined well with Wilf. A few positional changes at half time 2nd half helped the team gain some more control. Ethan scored ⚽ from an incredibly difficult angle. Wilf scored one with his perseverance  to keep going dribbling with the ball.

Corner kick deliveries today were out of this world. Ethan met one from 18 yrds with his left foot which hit the post before another attempt with his right foot... goal. Paul who was calm and composed had a cracking strike from outside the box. Nathan, who excelled throughout the whole match, also scored and earned. Player of the Week for his work rate.

The visitors played well themselves and gave Oliver in goal plenty to do. Crieff Juniors FootballClub are always a great team to play against and we wish them all the best for the remainder of the season. It was nice to see former Breadalbane Fun 4 player Leo now playing with Crieff. Thanks to the parents from both teams for their support.
