2014s Hard Work Pays Off

SMALL SIDED TEAMS - SUN 29th SEP

Fun4s Festival (U8s)

Breadalbane managed to still send three Fun4s teams down to the last PKYFA Fun4s festival before the holidays, despite some last minute call-offs through illness.

It really is great to see the number of boys and girls across all the Perth & Kinross Clubs taking part in these weekly festivals which bodes well for the player pathway in this region. Well done to PKYFA and Robin for all their hard work in organising.

Coaches Annette & Johnny's team took a little time to get going in the slightly colder weather. Josip, JJ and Caleb all played some nice football and it was Leona who turned in a Player of the Week performance. Despite feeling under the weather, she made it down to help her teammates. She worked her socks off, always encouraged her team and kept her head-up when moving with the ball and scored a few goals⚽⚽. One very proud Grandad would've been watching it all.

Thanks to Lucas for stepping in to help the other Fun4s team who were with Coach Scott. Together with Arthur, he showed some great dribbling skills. Alexandru and Iustin also did a great job helping the team score some well worked goals.

Coach Simmy felt that game by game his Fab 4 of Bailey, Harry, Jack, & Ruben just got better and better. They were asked to try and work as a team by passing more and communicating with each other, and they did it brilliantly. They all showed some lovely touches and skills on the ball creating chances and goals. Well done guys.

Super 5s Festival (U9s)

Many happy returns to Finlay who celebrated his 8th birthday on Sunday. The cupcakes were appreciated by the rest of his teamates.

New signing Lucas was welcomed to the team and he jumped right in and worked extremely well with the boys showing great confidence. In all three games, the boys worked hard enjoying plenty pressure and control. Ivan & Mylo had some cracking link up play before hitting the back of the net. Cameron was very confident holding the ball up and finding space. Joachim was great in goals and kept the defence in check. Overall, a hard working team performance rewarded with some nice goals. Our Player of the Week was Mylo for his link up play and goal keeping skills.

BSYFC 2015 v Fair City 2015

An exciting match at Home St v Fair City Junior FC  which had the boys working hard and pushing them all to do their best.

Well done all great effort especially Arran for another Player of the Week performance, joining sister Leona in making their Grandad proud. Arran demonstrated a great attitude, respectful listening skills at both the match and training and played his position superbly. Thanks to everyone for their help with teas & coffees and the tidying up.

BSYFC 2014 v Auchterarder 2014

It was back to Mid-Atholl Recreation Park, Ballinluig for a return leg against last week's opponents Auchterarder Community FC 2014s  who stepped in after Jeanfield were unable to field a team.

Before the game, Coaches Simmy & Kempy reminded the players that their improvement week by week has been to due to their passing and movement combined with a tireless work rate and willingness to help each other.

Once again, the team showed this in abundance against a tough Auchterarder side who work hard and never let their heads go down. The improvements each individual in the Breadalbane team has made to their personal game is why the team is churning out such good performances every Sunday. Goals today were scored by Jacob, Cubby , Max, Lachlan, Lewis and Ethan. Jamie in goals and Luke sweeping kept the Breadalbane goal well protected from any Auchterarder attack.

Jack was the Player of the Match for his outstanding attitude and effort to help his teammates out all over the park. Well done to both sets of Players and Coaches - this fixture really is played in an excellent atmosphere.

Shortly after the match, the team were informed by PKYFA that they have been promoted up a league. It will be an exciting challenge playing new teams. The move is down to the hard work of Coaches & Players and the performances they have been achieving at training and games on a Sunday. On the back of this news, Simmy and Kempy wasted no time in submitting a transfer budget request and highly optimistic wage demands which are currently under consideration by the Committee

Fair City 2013 v BSYFC 2013

A well cut South Inch, awaited the 9 players who travelled without subs to Perth to face Fair City 2013 for an early morning ko. Coach Matthijs had given the team two tasks: to play with depth and combine through the midfield. The players executed both well throughout the entire match.

It was a evenly matched contest. Every Breadalbane player did well, backing each other up where the communication was key. Overall it was an entertaining game for spectators and coaches. Thanks to Fair City for hosting and well done to referee S McGregor who let the players play and interacted with them over the offside decisions.

Player of the Week goes to Kacper , who was a rock in the middle and covered many miles on the pitch.

As we head into the October break a massive THANK YOU ! to all our volunteer Coaches and Team helpers who give up their time so generously for training & matches or for fundraising and catering. We are really fortunate to have such a dedicated team which makes Breadalbane such a special Community Club.
