Fun4s on Fire

SMALL SIDED TEAMS  - SUN 15th SEP

Strong performances from both Fun4s teams who were on fire at Bertha Park yesterday morning. Coach Kirsty was full of praise for her group as they communicated well, showed some nifty passing and defended strongly. Alexandru played amazing and combined well with new team mates Cooper, Harry & Iustin. The other team were with Coach Scott who felt they played some great attacking football. Jack was outstanding and certainly knew where the goal was, Bailey was constantly weaving past the opposition while Charlie, playing at the back, made sure the opposition had very few chances. JJ linked up defence and attack perfectly with some great through balls. Player of the Week for that team was Ruben however for his dribbling, shots on goal and shrugging off a ball to the face like it was nothing. Players in the Premiership could learn from him.

 Super 5s (2016s)

Another 3 games against evenly matched opposition at the PKYFA  5aside festival also at Bertha Park. The boys who all worked extremely well together with their passing and ball control producing some great goals. Some cracking strikes from Makudi and Callum, including a top bins. Some neat finishes from Mylo while Cameron and Max linked the team up with assured passing and Joachim was fearless and excellent in goal. Lots of hard work and the team is really growing well now which is great to see. Player of the Week was Mukundi for his close ball control & great team work. The Players were reminded about the need to always encourage and respect each other because without that, we cannot be a team.

Breadalbane 2015s v Luncarty United 2015s

The freshly trimmed surface in the training cage at Home St was the venue for this match due to the continued difficulties accessing the 3G at the Campus. Another great turn out of 14 players and big thanks to Johnny for stepping in as Coach and all the parents helping with pitch set up and clearing - especially Nico’s dad Sam and the Luncarty Coach.

All Boys gave their best effort against a well organised Luncarty team and we saw some lovely passing and good communication. There was, as always, plenty of energy, fun and smiling faces. Welcome to Christian who made a superb first debut getting stuck right in. Player of the Week was Jackson for listening well and playing his position well both in defence and in goal.

Blairgowrie 2014s v Breadalbane 2014s

A squad of just 7 made the early morning trip to Blairgowrie & Rattray Community Football Club for what turned out to be a real cracker of a match. The first half was end to end and the second half was played at an absolute blistering pace. Max with a couple and Lewis were both on the scoresheet but Jakob and Cubby also went close as the keeper, post and the bar all denied Breadalbane to keep the vocal, travelling support thoroughly entertained. Jamie in goals made some vital saves, Cubby put in a tremendous shift of getting up and down the park and was unlucky not to score a couple after bursting through on goal. Jakob, Lachlan and Lewis passed the ball well and worked hard (proper midfield maestros) Max up top got goals and linked up play to bring midfielders into the game. Player of the Week went to Luke who backed up a solid performance in training with his best game in a Breadalbane shirt so far. Coaches Simmy and Kempy couldn't be prouder of the entire team today who gave it their all.

Breadalbane 2013 v Blairgowrie 2013

Blairgowrie were also the opponents for another great game on a perfectly cut main pitch at Homestreet for the U12s. Coach Matthijs was keen for the team to replicate moving the ball quickly which they had worked on in training. A slow start by Breadalbane resulted in a couple of goals being conceded, but then the team moved through the gears.

Everyone was now working hard, communicating well and creating plenty scoring opportunities. There were two amazing strikes by Fergus and Kacper and the team was unlucky not to find the net more often. The defence was rescued multiple times by centre back Matthew to earn himself, Player of the Week. Well done everyone for such great effort this morning and thanks to opponents Blairgowrie for such an entertaining match.
