U15s End of Season

01/08/2024

Sunday at Home St saw a belated End of Season presentation & BBQ for our 2009s to celebrate an excellent debut season in the Dundee & District 1st Division, a fantastic Scottish Cup run, League Cup final finalists as well as the small matter of the trip of a lifetime to Holland.

It has been a real team performance this season with every single one of the players showing an excellent attitude and committment. Well done to our award winners:-

Players Player of Year - Emil Franczak

Supporters Player of Year - Emil Franczak

Coaches Player of Year - Ben Davies

Most Improved Player of Year - Thomas Donaldson Smith

Goal of the Season - John Garrow

A big thank you to parents, family and friends for the fantastic support they have shown the lads throughout the season.

Huge thanks to Kerry, Fiona, Karen and everyone who helped out. Thanks to Rory at Macdonald Bros Butchers for donating the tasty burgers, parents and family for the home baking and everything else that happened on Sunday. Kerry has done a fantastic job throughout the year of organising catering, xmas raffles, small sided awards, post-match hospitality & supporters buses.

Thanks to coaches Neil and Scott for their work with the team but especially manager Jamie Callaghan who puts a huge amount of work in behind the scenes to allow the boys to fulfil their potential on the pitch.

The Team also said goodbye to a number of players Cameron, Aaron, Lewis, Logan SD, and Emil who has now signed for Dundee United FC. We wish the boys all the best for the future. Emil's final duty was to hand his armband onto new team Captain Liam who will be supported by Vice Captain Paddy.

It was great to welcome back Ivan after a season away and he wasted no time in turning in a solid performance with the rest of his team mates in a training match with Jeanfield U17s where it never looked as if the boys had been away ⚽.

Thanks to Kevin McNab from M & N landscapes for once again saving the day and getting the pitch cut at short notice and in great condition.

Well done everyone for such a brilliant season and excited about the challenge for the U16 season ahead!!
