Weekly Wrap

27/06/2024

Last Saturday saw the U10 Girls host not one but two RRCC Girls Section (Raith Rovers Rebels) sides. An excellent atmosphere at Home St with some fantastic football on show with the matches played in great spirits. This really was a great advert for Girls football which is going from strength to strength across the East Region. Player of the Match awards went to Kamilla and Eilish. Well done Girls!

Sunday saw the final fixtures of this term before a pause for the Summer Holidays for our small sided teams who were all away from home. The 2014s travelled to play Auchterarder Community FC 2014s  where the boys showed great effort, especially in the second half, when they were asked to give 100 per cent for the last 25 minutes of their season. Great to see young Luke pick up player of the match. Players, Parents and Coaches Simmy, Kemp & Carrie can now enjoy a well earned break.

The 2012s put in another strong performance in an evenly matched contest at Letham Community Sports Club - Letham FC. With no subs, all the players put in a good shift and played with determination right to the final whistle. The game could have gone either way but a well taken goal 5 minutes from the end sealed it for the opposition. Finn had a strong performance at centre back and was awarded man of the match. Well done! The team are starting to look comfortable at 11-a-side, and it is pleasing to see their growth and development this season thanks to the hard work of Players, Parents and Coaches Shona, Johnny & Graeme.

At Davie Park, Blairgowrie the 2015s had a large squad of 12 boys toasting in the sunshine but still as lively as ever ! Great turn out for the last game before the summer break. They all worked really hard against Blairgowrie, stuck together as a team, and have come on well since those Bertha park mornings. Well done to Finnegan who showed a great positive attitude and worked hard for player of the week.  A big thank you to Coaches Tyler, Ally, Colum & Jane for looking after this group.

The final two youth matches of the season will be this Saturday 29th June where our U10 Girls host Kennoway Star Hearts Youth Football Club followed by the U14 Girls v The Swifts FC - Girls IHS All Blacks. First match is 10am ko at Home St.
